I Am Ordering For The First Time

We've made ordering from our online store as simple as possible. With a few clicks you can be on your way to receiving your first garment from The Outlet by John Smedley;

  1. If you haven't already done so, you will need to create an account. Unfortunately, The Outlet by John Smedley is not currently available to customers in Russia. Simply enter your information into the boxes provided to create your free account.
  2. Select your sale from the top navigation menu or via the homepage.
  3. Click on the product you would like to view in more detail.
  4. Select your size and quantity from the drop-down box.
  5. Click the "Add to Basket" button. This item is now placed in your basket. You can either continue shopping or checkout by clicking the checkout button. Please note: Items in your basket will not be reserved until the checkout process has been completed.
  6. Now follow the simple instructions to complete the checkout process.

I Have Ordered Before

If you have ordered previously from The Outlet by John Smedley, you can speed up your checkout by using details stored in your account;

  1. Log into your account by clicking on the login button in the bottom left area of the page.
  2. Enter your username and password. You will now be logged in. You will find the checkout process already contains your relevant details.
  3. Select your sale from the top navigation menu or via the homepage.
  4. Click on the product you would like to view in more detail.
  5. Select your size and finally quantity from the drop down box.
  6. Click the "Add to Basket" button. This item is now placed in your basket. You can either continue shopping or checkout by clicking the checkout button. Please note: Items in your basket will not be reserved until the checkout process has been completed.
  7. Now follow the simple instructions to complete the checkout process. Your billing and delivery addresses should be automatically completed using information from your account.

EUROPEAN ORDER UPDATE 

We appreciate there has been a lot of confusion regarding the recent Brexit negotiations, and we want to ensure that you continue to enjoy your shopping experience with John Smedley free from concern.

Unfortunately at this time, this means that we are unable to allow orders to the following countries at present: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia & Spain. This is something that we are working on to resolve, and we will be sure to let our customers know when we can accept orders again – we are extremely sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

For background, following the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union on the 01st January 2021, the UK becomes a non-EU country thereby when purchasing goods from a non-EU country a new Customs and Excise Duty in addition to Value Added Tax (VAT) charge will be applicable.

However, to ensure that we maintain our standards of service and you enjoy the same calibre of shopping experience, we will ship all EU orders with Duty and Taxes paid meaning there will be no unexpected additional charges to your order.

I Am Using Amazon Pay

  1. Amazon Pay makes shopping on our website even easier by letting you speed through checkout using information already stored in your Amazon account to pay on our site. You don’t need to re-enter your payment or address details—just choose from the payment and delivery information stored in your Amazon account. Amazon Pay helps you shop quickly, safely, and securely.
  2. Add the garment(s) you wish to purchase to your basket.
  3. Click the Amazon payment button located either on the product page or in your basket.
  4. A small pop-up screen will appear asking you to login to your Amazon account, enter your details and continue.
  5. You will be redirected back to the Outlet page and you can then choose which address and payment type you wish to use for the order.

I AM PLACING AN ORDER OVER THE PHONE

- If you cannot place an order via our online store, please feel free to call our Customer Services team to place an order over the phone;

- Find the garment(s) you wish to purchase online and make note of the style name, colour and size that you require.

- Call our customer service team (Office hours 8:30-17:00 Monday - Thursday, 8:30-16:00 Friday, Closed Weekends and Bank Holidays) on 0800 652 489.

- You will need your billing address, shipping address and payment card to hand.

- When submitting the payment you will be transferred to a secure line to enter your payment card information manually. Our customer service representative will talk you through this, but please ensure that you do not speak any of the digits of your payment card and instead type these into your handset when asked.
